Jordan discovered my work on Instagram when a friend tagged him in a giveaway I was doing. He had the idea to commission me to do three home portraits, each 6x8": one of his childhood home, one of his wife’s childhood home, and one of their first home together. The three pieces together were to be a gift for his wife, Jade. They had recently purchased their forever home and wanted to adorn the walls with original art of other homes that had been meaningful in their life journeys.
First up, Jade’s childhood home in Port Coquitlam. “PoCo” has so many beautiful forested park areas, and the trees in Jade’s backyard are actually part of one of the city’s trails. The large evergreen trees are characteristic of the West Coast.
“Katrina! Wow! I am amazed by the paintings. They’re so beautifully done and just bring so much joy to my heart seeing our homes come together like this ❤️❤️ Thank you so much for doing these!”
