Some Pet Portraits are especially meaningful, and Lily's was one of them.
After losing her beloved Pomeranian Chihuahua, Lily, in July 2024, Shannon from Calgary wanted a lasting way to honour the little dog she and her husband loved so much.
Using her favourite photos as reference, I created a watercolour sketch that captured Lily's sweet expression. This was my inaugural painting of a "Pompchi", and I adore the added detail of Lily's name on the tag, which was a special customization.
Shannon received the finished portrait and sent through some photos of it, adorning the nook near the kitchen island. She shared:
Thank you soooo much! I look at her while making dinner and washing dishes. I can also see her from the couch. Thank you again. It's remarkably accurate. Incredible!
She also wrote:
I'm excited to have this treasure to remember her by!
Messages like these remind me why I love creating Pet Portraits. It's an honour to help families celebrate the pets who have held such a special place in their hearts.
Thank you, Shannon, for trusting me to create this special tribute to Lily. ❤️
Thinking about a memorial Pet Portrait? I'd love to help you create a timeless keepsake that celebrates your pet's unique personality and the memories you'll always treasure.
